About Gleneil Farms.
Ian Fraser graduated from Guelph University with a Diploma in Agriculture in 1991. Ian has since returned to Gleneil Farms and has spearheaded many improvements to herd development and the farm facilities. Ian is well-known for his skills in preparing cattle for fairs and this has allowed him to work at shows across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. An avid curler, Ian can be found playing in competitive bonspiels and coaching young curlers in skills development.
Neil Fraser has farmed for his entire adult life. As he begins to transition management of Gleneil Farms over to Ian, Neil has taken an increasingly active role in agriculture related associations. A former President of the Glengarry Holstein club, Neil moved on to work as a member of the Board of Directors for Eastern Breeders Inc.(EBI). In this role, Neil was a member of the Board of Directors for the Semex Alliance and a former Chair of the Board of Directors for Eastern Breeders Inc.. In his leisure hours, Neil enjoys golf, curling and playing cards with his friends and neighbours.
Sylvia Fraser came to Eastern Ontario to attend Nursing College at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital. Upon graduation, Sylvia and Neil founded Gleneil Farms. A Registered Nurse by profession, Sylvia has nursed for 39 years at Hawkesbury General Hospital in the Medical/Surgical ward. Sylvia, born in Prince Edward Island and raised in Nova Scotia, returns to her Atlantic Canada roots each fall to reacquaint herself with her maritime heritage. Golf, cards, exploring the scenic coves of Prince Edward Island and enjoying a book by the fire are Sylvia's passions.
